|Currently and active Therapy Service dog
for a beautiful girl with Autism.
She is about 45-50lbs on average and is a standard
goldendoodle but is on the leaner end of the standard
size. She has more curl to her coat which means less
dander and less shedding... She's as close to non-shed
as they come. She's been vet cleared for breeding and is
a sweet and calm goldendoodle.
We have two by the name of "Molly"- because
we have two guardian families that picked the same
name. We said that's ok, we will make it work.
Molly has a special job working as a therapy dog for a
girl with Autism. She accompanies her everywhere she
goes, including Children's Hospital. She has a unique set
of behavioral skills that she picked up on quickly which
perfectly match what her "Girl" (Sarah) needs. When you
talk to Molly about her "Girl", when she's not with her,
she will get very excited because her bond is so close
with Sarah. She will even whimper in excitement.
Molly excels in being the calm in the storm. Coming in,
being the close full body snuggle "anchor", and easily
and calmly soaks up the attention. She knows where to
be at all times and easily picks out the calmest area of
any environment. She hugs like no other dog does it.
The full body contact, ever present, "I'm here for you"
type of hug. She is the "Thunder buddy" to weather the
storm with and provides herself as a perfect security
blanket. Her attention is all directed at Sarah or her
family when she is in their presence. Molly is a very
quiet, relaxed, girl that thrives on attention but is eagerly
patient for it. Patterns or routines are recognized early
on and she learns to anticipate the routine easily. She
knows how to interrupt and deter impulsive or destructive
behaviors and provides a security and stability to her
"Girl". She's such a special dog and you can almost feel
the love she has for her "Girl" and her family, when you
see her with them. She knows she has a job to do and
takes it seriously. She couldn't have been a better match
to do what she does! She has such a genuine love of all
children and a calm and sincere personality. When our
daughters' Special Ed teacher came to us about a dog
for her daughter, it was the perfect arrangement for Molly
and has been a perfect match ever since!
